Humans Hate When Other Humans Make Money

This is in relations to my last poll.  The reason I made it is because I have heard so many people complain that places don’t pay people enough.  Kind of like Wal-Mart should pay there employees more.  So who’s fault is it?  Everyone loves to blame rich people.  But from what I can see, it’s actually the fault of the employees.  I shale explain.  When you fill out forms for employment there is always this one question.  How much are you expecting to make?  This means you are setting the price for how much your time is worth.  But it’s not exactly that simple, because if you make it too high, they won’t higher you.  So what makes it too high?  It’s because you are actually competing with other people trying to get that job.

What is the most expensive equipment for running a company?  Employees.  Not only do you have to pay them an hourly wage, you have to pay tax on them.  So if you are paying them $8.00 an hour, you are closer to paying $16.00 an hour, pending where your company is, but I don’t think it gets more than that.  So let’s say there are 20 employees in a small store or shop, and you keep it open for only 8 hours a day,  That’s  up to $2560 a day.  Employees are like a market, so when you are shopping for employees, your going to find one that can do the job and probably at the cheapest price.  It’s the natural way about doing things.  And the employee’s are setting there prices.

So the reason people get low pay, is because there are employees that ask for low pay.  And everyone else has to compete with them.  So stop complaining about the company, because it’s actually the collective employees that set the wage.  And there are a lot of unemployed people out there that are desperate.

But let’s get back to the poll.  So far most people voted the $8.00 and some did $16.00.  So who is right?  Well all of you in a since.  It does depend on the job, and some companies wont higher you if you set your wage too low.  I will go into better depths in the choices.

For the ones that chose $8.00.  You have employees that can’t buy all that much, but as long as you are always frugal on what you spend your money on, you will be able to keep your company up and be sure that there will always be a place for people to work.  And even grow your company.  And since your employees are cheap, you can give cheaper products to customers, and probably compete against other companies that way.

For the ones that chose $16.00. You have employees that can probably be more beneficial to the economy, although you probably turned away a person that was more desperate for a job AKA, the $8 guy.  You would be very generous to your employees, but you have to work hard to make sure the company stays afloat, or have one of the really big time companies, or have some serious products.

I know Humans will never stop hating other humans that make money.  And I know this journal is not going to fix anything. But if it just makes at least one person understand, then that’s fine.

Also another thing I noticed that is fairly related. I have seen so many times were people demonstrate how they hate capitalism and that they think that it’s evil, or don’t work.  However so far, it’s the only system that allows people to rank up into better lifestyles, they just have to work for it.  You can be born into being trailer trash, and work your way up to being the President of the United States.  You can’t do that in any other system.  With the old systems, the technology of society stayed the same for thousands of years.  But when we made capitalism, technology grew in just the last 200 years and continues to grow.  So what is so bad about capitalism?  Well perhaps it’s that some people know how to take advantage of it, while others don’t. Or perhaps it’s because today’s generation just don’t like working for something and prefer stuff to be handed to them.  I have noticed a great plague of poor work ethic.  I looked at some of these illustrations that supposed to show why capitalism is bad, Like this one 2.bp.blogspot.com/-RRRS-G8tDGE… But this illustrations is not showing capitalism, it’s showing socialism. Were when someone is born in poverty or in wealth, they stay in that class for the rest of there life, because that is there bloodline.  And the wealthy do not associate with the poor.  So I am sure its not socialism that people want.  But perhaps they want communism, were everyone is the same class and get paid the same no matter what it is that they do.  Or maybe people just don’t understand at all and just hate the fact that other people have money.  But as far as I can see.  Capitalism is the best system because we can be rewarded for our works and make something out of ourselves.  The only thing that makes it bad is when people get greedy.  And I know I don’t want the other two systems.  But is there a fourth system?  I don’t know if there is one currently, or if it would be any better or not.  I kind of have other systems in my books,

I know there are some rich people that were born rich and are little snobs, and politicians that do things to get a lot of money with our tax dollars, or some other scandals to hoard money, or at least I heard about them.  But around here in Oklahoma; a conservative republic state, I literally met many rich people.  They are all very nice people, and they worked there asses off to get where they are.  I worked in a grocery store called Crest Foods.  I have many times seen the owner at the front sacking groceries when its real busy, and he then does all the other boss things to keep the place running.  In my other job Structural Stone, my boss was a respectable man always at the office, always trying to be innovative on how things are run to keep the company at the top.  And there are times when he held a pizza party for us.  I know a black guy at church He started with nothing.  He bought a crappy house, fixed it in his spare time, and sold it.  He climbed his way and became a millionaire with his hard work.  So yeah, I black person can be a millionaire too.  It’s not a system for the rich Whitman as so many people say LOL.

So are we really to hate on all these people that bust there asses to get what they earned?  What right do we have in wanting to take it all away and redistribute it all to people that are lazy in comparison?  What right do we have to demand more and not work for it?  I am not telling this because I am rich.  I make less than $20,000 a year, and that is considered low class in the USA last I checked.  I am telling this because I see it wrong when people want to take the fruits of someone else’s labor.  So if you want to be making more money, you’re going to have to work harder and smarter.  And also know how to make sure the government don’t tax most of your profits. But remember, money does not always buy happiness.

Hmm. Quite a valid argument you have there :P

But in all seriousness I do agree. While some aspects of human nature have degraded over time, others have improved. Technology, governance, economic systems, lifestyle etc (and yes this is my optimistic view of human nature. But as I say, its always good to keep an open mind).

Envy seems to be commonplace nowadays. "If you've got it, flaunt it!". People just can't resist showing off their wealth whether it be buying classy cars, owning a mansion or showing off expensive jewelry and whatnot. This does in turn, disgruntle those who lack such things, and provoke certain contempt towards that person.

Honestly now that I look back at history, I see more socialistic errors than I see capitalist. And such, the ramifications not just impoverishing, but calamitous. There are many examples in history of such things...

All in all, I am grateful for the current system we have today, both economical and political. A friend of mine (who's Australian) told me she wasn't proud to be Australian, and rather hated being one. I merely said nothing, and left her in all her obliviousness and neglect of what it'd be like for her if she lived in a socialistic society.

and now, I shall quote a film (Wall Street) just for the heck of it: "greed is good"
